The men of the No. 1 Hose Company of the Fredericton Fire Department are seen here preparing to take part in laying the cornerstone of the Victoria Public Hospital, during Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1887.
The firefighters are Captain Henry Pollock, left, Thomas Smith, Edward Segee, Jack Hersey, Nat Smith, Isaac Burden, Edward McGinn, Tapley McLaughlin and Jack McGinn.

July 1st, 1967, Nashwaaksis Fire Chief Herbie Hawkins leads
a group of Firefighters in the Canada Day parade in downtown Fredericton.
The Firemen are wearing replicas of the uniforms worn in the late 1800's

Chief Rutter drives the decorated wagon though the intersection of
Brunswick and Carleton Streets as the fireman's band follows close behind
in the photo, taken during Fredericton Old Home Week, on July 12, 1906

Taken during the Fireman's Tournament that was held July 25-27, 1933. The horse
drawn hand engine was one that was in use in the 1800's. Firemen from all over the
Maritimes and Maine as well as 9 firefighter bands participated in this parade.

Devon Fire Department is led by Bass Drummer Henry 'Hen' Beatty,
followed by members of the Fredericton Fire Department
